...what model LTD is that?

So I have a purple ESP LTD EC-1000 that I had an aftermarket evertune installed onto and I have noticed the same thing you’re talking about. After the install there’s not as much sustain and it’s a little more woofy now. My biggest gripe against it though is that the springs in the back resonate on stop and go’s when they’re technically not supposed to so I don’t know what happened there. For me too, the guitar was just more fun to play before the swap so I’ll write it off as a lesson learned and go back to Floyd’s and hard tail / TOM

I know this is years late LOL Would this translate to the Kemper Player? Or would there be an issue, because of the less blocks before and after the amp/cab blocks? Sorry I dont have any kemper products...but If i can get a solid "amp sound" and try to work in an fx floor board with in/outs of my floor unit. I will consider this pack if I get a player..this is awesome cool..mid range tight tones in a lot of this. Wicked stuff

Josh, curious what noise gate pedal you use, and what DB setting you set it on to get rid of all that extra “fizz” in the background? Thanks.

For the palm muting problem, try changing the fluence pickups for some emg's. Fluence pickups sound a lot bassy even if they're active

Finally some mainstream Evertune slander. These things suck and don't hold a tuning any better than a properly set up, floating floyd. Biggest load of snake oil in the whole industry.

It's a sick axe... I am a big fan of the evertune, the new multiscale ones that Aristides is doing are rad... Stable. But there's definitely a drawback in tone. A little bit of sympathetic resonance is there when your playing hard enough.

I love everything about the JM-II and badly wanted to buy this guitar but the only thing stopping me is the finish... Do you have any plans to do another guitar with an alternative finish?

I'm still happy with my ESP NT-II STB with retro-fitted Fishman Fluence Moderns after watching Josh's video about those pickups. It's a metal monster and absolutely gorgeous. Very similar to the guitar in this video other than the bridge. Sadly I only have about 1% of his talent 🤣

despite never tune again your guitar, Josh Described much a - z why i hate EVERTUNE so much especially very short sustain on high E string due their system.

Did you take any inspiration from that guitar for your signature one?

I have the JM-II for about 2 years now and can't put it down, absolutely love it. Hard to put it on words how amazing it is.

I play more classic rock and metal so actually prefer guitars with fixed bridges, but with modern metal being heavily downtuned or having 7 or 8 strings nowadays I can see this bridge being quite a must have for that bassy sound 👍🙂 Brilliant video

I recently bought a LTD JM-2 and I like it even more than my last ESP Horizon NT-2 Standart. The JM-2 has a very comfortable neck and amazing ergonomics, and the sound is no worse than the Japanese standard of the 2000s series. Thanks for this great signature guitar! I am very glad to have it in my collection.

Some people say it doesn’t affect the tone. But the ones who do, they say is brighter. I must have watched every Evertune review since it came out. It is the first time I hear someone saying it makes it sound bassy. I hope this serves as a testament that opinions on gear are so varied and subjective, just try it and see!

Bummer you never got on with the Evertune. I'm purely a rhythm player, so my needs are different, but I became a full convert once I played my first Evertune.

Josh.. Have you thought of merging the old Sylosis "Marshall" sound with the newer 5150/6505 sound? The EVH EL34 100S is perfect for that. Also, what string gauges are you using now that you're in C#, and have you thought of trying Duncan Blackouts? I swear they're better than Fishman!

My longest sustaining guitar has an Evertune bridge (Legator X-7). Something else must be going on with that guitar.

I've found alder body and a guitar that doesn't resonate like an acoustic is best for deathmetal

Is it a baritone? or normal scale length?

No forearm contour would be a bad point for me. Really nice guitar, prefer M-II flat top for comfort. Horizon does look better though.

I am so glad you said what you said about the evertune; I had exactly the same critiques about the one I had. For how I play, it lacked large amounts of sustain compared to my other guitars and tonally I was never 100% happy.

What kind of action are you using? Older I get the more height I like.

That must suck orderung a CS guitar and then the bridge kills the sound. I heard this from other people as well in regards to the Evertune. She does look stunning though!
